On July 11, 2009, the Rotary Club of Angeles Kuliat, one of the most awarded Rotary Clubs in Rotary International, District 3790, will celebrate its 15th Founding Anniversary and, at the same time, induct its new set of officers.
Working under this year’s Rotary International theme, “The Future of Rotary Is In Your Hands!”, the new Board of Directors is headed by lawyer and college instructor Francisco “Isko” Yabut and to be assisted by his Vice President and President-Elect, civil engineer Rodale Olea.
Other officers and directors include: BPI Assurance Manager and Past President Willie Garcia, Secretary; lending expert and civic leader Chuck Gueco, Treasurer; former Angeles Electric executive Rosby Calma, Sergeant-at-Arms; architect and Past President Tito Angeles, Director for Community Service; KPM Hardware owner Pabs Silvestre, Director for Club Administration; lawyer Darwin Reyes, Director for Vocational Service; Eye Nose Throat specialist Butch Henson, Director for International Service; pawnshop owner Alex Agapito, Director for Youth Activities; TV host and comedian Tim Tayag, Director for Public Relations; businessman and Immediate Past President Dale Antonio, Ex-Officio Director.
Rotary Club of Angeles Kuliat was formed on July 12, 1994 by several seasoned Rotarians, led by Past District Governor and Charter President Antonio Y. Angeles and former Angeles City Chief Prosecutor and Past President Restituto Mercado.
Guest of Honor & Speaker is current District Governor Rolando “Oyan” Villanueva. Eye Ear Nose & Throat specialist and Past District Governor Ruben Henson will serve as Charging Officer for the New Officers while Assistant Governor for Cluster 3B Elaine Claudio is Charging Officer for new members.
Also to be inducted are the following new members: Caloy Basilio, part-owner of SAX Bar; Maricel Morales, Angeles City Councilor; Ethel Galang, a culinary arts instructor; Bonifacio Bognot, Jr., partner, Far East College of Technology; Jay Pajarillo, college instructor at the AUF; Atty. Angelo Lopez; Christian Ferreras, general manager of Manila Universal Capital Lending; Sean Lee, a Korean businessman; Arym Jingco, manager of UCPB-Nepo Branch; Elmer Dayrit, Director for Student Affairs at the RCC; and, Atty. Bryan Nepomuceno.
The twin events was celebrated noon time last July 11, 2009 at the Plaza Victoria, Angeles City Sports Center, in Angeles City.
