Yellow Cab Tri-Clark Team in Ironman Malaysia

The Team Yellow Cab – Tri Clark Triathlon team recently completed the Ironman Triathlon Championship in Malaysia last February 28, 2009.  Spearheaded by their president, Abe Tayag, the triathletes completed the 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike, 42 km run in sweltering heat in the tourist island of Langkawi.  Finishing as the top Filipino in the race, Mr. Tayag also set the forth fastest time ever for a Filipino in an Ironman with a time of 10 hours and 42 minutes.  Dubbed as the “Toughest Show on Earth”, the annual event celebrated its 10th year in Malaysia had close to 700  individual entries from the continents of Asia, the Americas and Europe.  A total of 30 Filipinos joined the event, 11 belonging to Team Yellow Cab -Tri Clark sponsored by the Yellow Cab Pizza Co., New Balance, Pagcor, and AdWorks.
